Summary

 

Based on the recommendations of the First Conference of Disability and Rehabilitation Experts 2012, regarding the need to hold the conference periodically every two years, and due to the success of the first conference in 2012, the second in 2014, the 16th meeting of the Gulf Association in 2016, and the third conference in 2018, all of which were held at the Association's headquarters in Unaizah, and showed a great response in the number of participants, and due to the unprecedented global and local interest in special education and rehabilitation services, the Unaizah Association for Development and Human Services - Rehabilitation - intends to organize the fourth edition of the conference in 2024 in cooperation with various international and local institutions, confirming the association's leadership in changing the reality of persons with disabilities.

Conference Objectives

  1. This conference is a response to the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enhance the quality of life of society and contribute to achieving the global sustainable development goals.
  2. To provide an opportunity for international and local experts and scientists to contribute by presenting practical scientific products that help improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
  3. To achieve reliable outputs and recommendations that have a direct and indirect positive impact on the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
  4. To build scientific partnerships and interdisciplinary research projects that contribute to creating an environment that enhances the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
  5. To enhance scientific communication and exchange of experiences among experts, scientists, and stakeholders from around the world and from various cultures regarding improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
  6. To discuss the difficulties and obstacles faced by researchers and specialists in the quality of life of persons with disabilities and propose solutions to them.
  7. To present proposals for creating national and international programs that contribute to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
